Island Shores swings into Spring

Residents celebrate the arrival of  spring-like weather with the sounds of the Fox Valley Swing Band on Monday, May 14, 2012.  FVSB is always a favorite, and the weather was absolutely wonderful.  Residents could enjoy the concert from inside the community room,  or from the patio area.

Celebrating Mother’s Day with our Bellevue Family

Last night we celebrated Mother’s Day with the residents of Bellevue and their families.  This was a great opportunity to tell the women of Bellevue how much they are appreciated not only by their outside family but also by their Bellevue family!  Smiles filled our hallways as over 160 people were here to celebrate with us!  Appetizers, desserts, and Mother’s Day punch were served.  Beautiful music performed by Jana Holland and her daughter and sounds of laughter and family filled our community!  What a wonderful way to celebrate the beautiful women we look up to and are privileged to call mom!

Ladies Day Breakfast

The residents and families are invited to a breakfast at 8:30a.m. to honor all of our ladies at our community. They are encouraged to bring a special story or a poem they would like to share with all the ladies. Vickie Belleville will be at our community for music entertainment later that morning.

Fox Point Independent & Assisted Living Memorial Balloon Launch!

The sky will be filled with red, white & blue balloons as our residents send up a balloon to honor the memory of a loved one. This is our second annual launch  here at Fox Point and sometimes the message on  the balloon can make it’s way back to us to tell the story of where it has traveled! Friday, May 25th 10:30 a.m.

Honor Flight Chicago Presentation was held here on Monday, April 30th. Our residents were captivated as they watched past WWII veterans being honored by a full color guard at t airport as they began their journey. An invitation was extended to all WWII veterans to travel to Washington for a full day of honor, remembrance and celebration from a proud and grateful nation!
